Frances Fisher, 83, of Portersville, PA, passed away the morning of November 10, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born on September, 26, 1930, in Harlansburg, to the late Waldo and Julia Boehm Barron. She married Calvin Fisher on June 24, 1950. Mrs. Fisher made a home for her husband and two daughters. Frances was a leader in the 4H Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and most of all, spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jeanne Park and Mary Ann and Gregory Tomo, all of Portersville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Claire and Fred and Sue Barron, all of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Fisher is preceded in passing by her parents, one brother, Robert Barron and one great grandson, Jonah G. Francic. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate.
