Frances Mary Geer, 93, of New Castle, formerly of Indiana, PA, passed away the afternoon of September 28, 2014 at Clen-Moore Place.Born May 4, 1921 in Rimer Hill, PA, she was a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Butler Lorenz.Frances was married to Everett Geer, who preceded her in death in February, 2005.Frances retired from Indiana Sportswear after 23 years of service.She was a former member of the Assembly of God Church in Kinport, PA.She is survived by one son and his wife, Dennis H. and Karen Capehart Geer, of Houston, TX; a daughter-in-law, Janet Isenberg Geer of New Castle; 1 sister, Ida Bofinger of Venice, FL; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death in 2005 by a son, Elwood Geer; 4 sisters, Anna Cravenor, Martha Bish, Estella Worthen, Eva Beer; and 1 brother, Leonard Lorenz.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held on Thursday. October 2, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Matthew Bupp, Celtic Hospice Chaplin.
