Frank J. Cwynar, 95, of New Castle, passed away on November 24, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on March 14, 1926, in New Castle, he was the son of George Cwynar and Helen Cwynar Vaughn. He married Jane Nadine (Morford) Cwynar on February 11, 1950, who preceded him in death on July 26, 2018. He attended New Castle High School and served his country in the US Navy. Frank was an Erie Insurance agent and owner of Cwynar Insurance Agency for over 35 years. In addition, he owned the Colonial Laundromat in Austintown, Ohio. He enjoyed square dancing with the Castle Paws and Taws and being active with church functions. Frank loved dogs, especially his own, Maggie and Mindy. He was a member of the former Second U.P. Church and attended New Life Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Deborah Ann (Dan) Tropea of New Castle, Nadine Watkins of New Castle, Donald Cwynar of Austintown, Ohio and Denise Cwynar of Imperial, PA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded by one brother, Clem Cwynar; and five sisters, Selestine Finefrock, Frances Bidinotto, Jane Cawthorne, Cecelia Sfreddo and Annie Kramer. In keeping with his wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery. Arrangements are by the R.
