Frank Charles Turner, age 81, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of March 24, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Feb. 21, 1942, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Frank W. and Wanda (Whitmore) Turner.

He married Ruth A. (Hill) Turner, his beloved wife of 41 years. She preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2018.

Frank was a graduate of New Castle High School. He was employed as a truck driver, for various local companies, until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Frank proudly held the state record for catching the biggest small mouth bass. He was an avid fan of Willie Nelson and enjoyed John Wayne movies. What Frank treasured most of all, was the time he spent with his family. He attended New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Frank is survived by one stepdaughter, Linda (Steve) Ridge; one stepson, Earl (Janet) Williams; one brother-in-law, Charles 'Chip' Chamberlain; two nieces, Joy (Jason) Hill and Michelle (Patrick) Fee; one great-niece, Sabrina Fee; three great-nephews, Michael Hill, Patrick Fee, Jr., and Sean Fee; seven grandchildren, Shanna McNicholas, Megan Pollum, Jennifer Patton, Georgeann Semans, John Williams, Damian Williams, and Dustin Williams; and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Chamberlain.

Visitation will be held on Sat. April 1st, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, with Chip Chamberlain, officiating.
