Frank Zoltani, 86, of New Castle, passed away the evening of August 21, 2010, surrounded by his family at home.Frank was born on February 4, 1924 in New Castle to the late John and Rose Simo Zoltani. He married the former Gertrude Patterson on Sept. 18, 1946. She survives. Mr Zoltani worked for Penn Power for more than thirty years. Frank was a graduate of New Castle High School and served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the Syria Shrine and served as Potentate in 1994. Mr. Zoltani was a member of the New Castle Consistory #243 and organized their blood bank. Frank was a 33rd degree mason with the Mahoning Lodge, a member of the Red Cross of Constantine and MSA. He was a 50 year member of Third Presbyterian Church.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Lynn Zoltani of Cranberry, PA; his brother, Dan Zoltani; and sister, Violet Matthieson both of New Castle.Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and his two brothers, John and Mike Zoltani.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
