Fred J. Schuster, 88, of Old Youngstown Road, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 27, 2010 at his home.Born April 5, 1922, in New Castle, he was a son of Michael and Sara Kellnar Schuster. He married Johanna Reinnerth Schuster on April 24, 1948. She survives in New Castle. Fred was a graduate of New Castle High School. He served with the Army Air Corps during WWII as a pilot. Fred was employed for 44 years with Shenango China as a warehouse and shipping manager. He retired in 1984. He enjoyed sports and reading. Fred was a member of the Eintracht Club and Good Shepard Lutheran Church.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Neil M. Schuster, of Lutz, FL.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Schuster and William Schuster; and a sister, Sara Haben.Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 8 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Sacherich will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the City Rescue Mission, 319 S. Croton Ave., New Castle, PA 16101.
