Frederick K. Bell, age 87, formerly of West Pittsburg, passed away the afternoon of Jan. 30, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born Jan. 16, 1935, in South Fork, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick Bell and Winifred (Gilpatrick) Mentzer.
On April 4, 1953, he married his wife of 50 years, Dwanda E. (Dripps) Bell. She preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 2003.
Fred served in the U.S. Army and the Ohio National Guard. He worked as a machinist at Pennsylvania Engineering Corporation and later at Custom Valve Repair until his retirement. Fred enjoyed time with his family and was accomplished in the art of Aikido obtaining the grade of first Kyu.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Kos of West Pittsburg, PA, Lori (Joseph) Passalinqua of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Bonnie (Rick) Hedlund of New Castle, PA; one son, Douglas E. Bell of Rochester, PA; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Frederick is preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Bell, three sons, David A. Bell, Steven F. Bell, Brian Bell and one brother, Eugene Bell.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
