Fredrick H. Feil, 90, of 811 Schenley Avenue, passed away the evening of October 4, 2011 at his home.Born February 24, 1921 in New Castle, he was a son of Joseph and Blanche Fredrick Feil.He married Adelaide C. Cartwright on August 10, 1940.He attended Shenango Area Schools and retired from Johnson Bronze after forty two years as an operator-foreman.Fred enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was a member of St. Jude's Episcopal-Trinity Ministry Center.In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Fredrick L. and Cathy Feil of New Castle; two brothers, Joseph Dale (Linda) Feil of New Bedford and Ross E. (Carole) Feil of New Castle; two sisters, Evelyn Weingartner of California and Gladys Adamczyk of Evans City; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Louise Critchlow and infant Wilda, and two brothers, Edward and Robert Feil.Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will take place on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude's Episcopal-Trinity Ministry Center, 212 N. Mill Street. The Rev. Canon Dennis Blauser will officiate.
