Obituary

Freeman D. "Goose" Aller, Jr., 83, of Cathcart Lane, New Castle, passed away the night of February 4, 2014 at Jameson Hospital. Born March 28, 1930 in New Castle, he was a son of Freeman D. Aller, Sr. and Irene Gladys Tedrow Aller. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Perry Aller. Mr. Aller retired from Columbia Gas Company where he was a meter reader and a pipe fitter.Goose enjoyed Steelers football, traveling, frequenting casinos, and country western music. He loved socializing with family and friends. Freeman was a friend to everyone and will be remembered for always being willing to help others. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his three daughters, Bonnie Aller, Debbie (Harvey) Lohr, and Pam (Harvey) Rickel; three sons, Ron (Joan) Aller, Kenny (Lori) Aller, and Tracy (Debbie) Aller; one step-son, Gary (Connie) Stembal; one step-daughter, Debra Turk; one sister, JoAnn Jones of California; one brother, Jim Aller of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Lee Lohr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Abel Robles. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
