Gary Leroy Dean, 80, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 6, 2025, at Avalon Care Center in West Pittsburg, PA.

Born on January 15, 1945, in New Castle, PA, Gary was the son of the late Robert Earl Dean and Anna Marion (Critchlow) Dean. He was preceded in death on February 16,2015 by his beloved wife, Marijane (Dukes) Dean whom he married on January 15, 1966.

Gary is survived by his two children, William Dean (wife Gizelle) and Tom Dean. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Brianna and Evan Dean, and Cameron Dean. He is also survived by his companion of nine years, Darlene Collins.

Gary retired from Adams Manufacturing as the Chief Financial Officer.

His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and close friends. Gary loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports and was an avid New Castle basketball fan. He also enjoyed automobiles of all kinds and playing pickleball later in life.

At his request, private services for family and close friends will be handled by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. of New Castle.
