Gaynell L. Lawrence, 78, of Edinburg, PA, passed away the afternoon of March 14, 2014 at the Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle.Born March 16, 1935 in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of Paul L. and Beulah Keating Lydic.Gaynell was preceded in death in 1979 by her first husband, Robert Solley. She subsequently married William T. Lawrence on July 1, 1986 who preceded her in death on January 13, 2008.She was employed with Fisher's Big Wheel as a cashier for over 20 years.Survivors include three daughters, Darlene Shinsky of Fombell, PA, Linda Parrish of Burgettstown, PA, and Bobbi Jo Solley of Edinburg, PA; two sisters, Velma Lydic of Leetonia, Ohio and Clarissa Wetzel of Edinburg; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Arlene Foley, and three great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Dominick Scarpino.Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery, Cherry Tree, PA.
