Georg Lang, 83, of North Huntington, PA passed away the morning of August 4, 2013 in the comforts of his own home. Georg was born in Gross-Allisch, Romania on January 30, 1930 to the late Georg and Sara Zakel Lang. He married the former Carole Eckman on November 13, 1965, she survives. Mr. Lang worked for many years as a brick layer foreman, finishing his career with O'Neil and Tervo Construction companies. Georg was a Past President of the Eintracht Singing Society and a 60 year member of the Eintracht Mannechor. He was a current member of the Calvery Lutheran Church in Murrysville, PA and a former, long-time member of the Christ Lutheran Church in New Castle. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lang is survived by one daughter, Kristine Birus and her husband Tim of Irwin, PA; one son, Georg M. Lang and his wife Kimberly of Lancaster, OH; one sister, Sara Lang of Greensburg, PA; and five grandchildren, Samuel and Maggie Birus and Matthew, Abbie and Lukas Lang. He was preceded in passing by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., New Castle. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor David Weeks and Pastor Sean Walters will officiate. Burial will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donation can be sent to Saxon Relief, Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the donor's favorite charity.
