George W. Lehberger, 84, of Edinburg, passed away the morning of August 15, 2012 at Jameson Hospital.Born June 20, 1928, in New Castle, he was a son of Paul and Edith Sainer Lehberger.He married the former Loraine Eakin on September 15, 1951, celebrating almost 62 years of marriage together.He attended New Castle Schools.George was retired from Valley Freight as a truck driver. Previously he was employed by Cooper-Jarrett Trucking and Keystone Lawrence Trucking.He enjoyed singing and was a member of the church choir at New Hope Wesleyan Church. George enjoyed working on cars and had the ability to repair anything.In addition to his wife, he was survived by two brothers, Donald Lehberger of Virginia and Darrell Lehberger of New Castle.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Parks and Betty Hobel; and a nephew, William Hobel.There will be a one hour visitation on Friday, August 17, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Wesleyan Church.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Gary DeWitt will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.Arrangements are by the R.
