George S. Pisor, age 63, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Feb. 4, 2022, at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, PA. Born Oct. 19, 1958, in New Castle, he was the son of George B. and Marybeth (Thompson) Pisor, Jr. He married Cathy A. (Crowther) Pisor, on Oct. 24, 1981. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2009. George was a graduate of Laurel High School. He earned his associate degree, in mechanical drafting, from YSU. For 36 years, he was employed at New Castle Company, as a draftsman. George enjoyed the outdoors, disc golf, coaching the local pee-wee football team, and being a craftsman. What gave George the most joy in life, was spending time with his family. He was an active member of New Covenant Evangelical Church where he was an elder, Sunday school teacher, and mentor to the Trail Life Boys. Survivors include his mother, Marybeth (Thompson) Pisor; two sons, Ben (Kayla) Pisor of New Castle, PA, and Nick (Aria) Pisor of Portland, OR; one daughter, Annaliese Pisor of New Castle, PA; one brother, Thomas (Debbie) Pisor of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Chris (Jeff) Hurta of Meadville, PA, Amy (Tim) Phelps of Washington, PA, and Sarah (Fred) Ceccarelli of New Castle, PA; four grandchildren, Gray, Autumn, Ash, and Alaina; and beloved friend, Kathy Roe. In addition to his wife, Cathy, George was preceded in death by his father, George B. Pisor, Jr. Visitation will be held on Wed. Feb. 9th, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation.
