Georgia H. Young, age 97, of New Castle, went to be with her Lord and savior, at her residence, surrounded by her family, the afternoon of June 3, 2020. Born Dec. 20, 1922, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Bertha (Nogler) Howland. On July 21, 1945, she married her beloved husband of 26 years, Robert Clark Young, Sr. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1972. Georgia retired from the accounting department of Universal Rundle. Above all, Georgia's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Some of her hobbies include gardening, reading, sewing, and crocheting. Georgia was a member of Eastbrook Garden Club. Since birth, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was proud to be a part of the cradle roll. Survivors include three daughters, Stacia (Bill) Bintrim and Lauren Schultz, both of New Castle; Michelle (Chip) Galusha of Farmville, North Carolina; two sons, R. Clark (Patricia) Young and William "Bill" H. (Patrice) Young, both of New Castle; nine grandchildren, Tish Snyder, Halley Jellyman, Jim Bintrim, Maury LaFleur, Summer Schultz, Lindsay Young, Whitney Curry, Robbie Young, Patrick Young; eleven great-grandchildren, two nieces, Susan & Shelley Howland, and one nephew, Scott Howland. Along with her parents and husband, Georgia was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Howland and a sister-in-law, Sally and one grandson, Francis Young. In keeping with her wishes, services will be private. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 984 W. Maitland Lane, New Castle, Pa., 16105.
