Gerald 'Jerry' Lee Hermann, age 70, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with his wife, the evening of May 24, 2023, at The Grove at New Castle.

Born June 4, 1952, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Gordon William 'Bill' and Olga (Sidorchuck) Hermann.

On July 21, 1990, he married the love of his life, Roberta 'Bobbi' Rae (Calvert) Hermann. She preceded him in death on Aug. 20, 2022.

Jerry was a graduate of New Castle High School. He graduated from YSU with an associate's degree in computer technology. All of his life, Jerry worked in the technology field. He enjoyed working on computers, owning his own tech company, and doing payroll for various customers. He was a proud member of the Republican Party, Ham Radio Club, and loved playing clarinet for the Lawrence County Band. He was a member of Calvary Independent Church where he was a former commander of the Awana program and former church treasurer.

Survivors include one son, Bryan (Eva) Hermann of Atlanta, MO; one daughter, Christi Hermann of Old Town, FL; stepson, Matt (Amy) Shope and stepdaughter, Lynette (John) Pompa; one sister, Brenda (Jeff) Hudak of Harmony, PA; four grandchildren, Marissa, Brianne, Samuel, and Kaylee; and several great step grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tues. May 30th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A service will be held on Wed. May 31st at 11:00 AM at Calvary Independent Church, 424 E. Moody Ave., New Castle, PA 16105.
