Gerald W. "Jerry" Myers, age 58, of Portersville, PA, passed away the evening of Sept. 1, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, in Erie, PA.

Born June 20, 1965, in Ellwood City, PA, he is the son of Charles Myers and Ruth (Harlan) Miller.

For several years, Gerald was a construction supervisor employed by CDM Smith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting his guns. He joined the Slippery Rock Twp. Fire Dept on August 22, 1984, when he was 19 years old. He was just shy of celebrating his 39th year with the department. He was an avid NASCAR and baseball card collector and was also a member of Eintracht Club and the German Club. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include, one daughter and granddaughter, Carri Myers of Portersville, PA; one son, Colton Myers, of Portersville, PA; and one brother, Jim Myers of Indiana.

Gerald was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Walker.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Sept. 9th from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Russell Van Nest, officiating.
