Geraldine "Gerry" Ann Jenkins, age 99, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Aug. 25, 2021, at her residence. Born Oct. 8, 1921, in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Edna (O'Hearn) Raddatz. On Aug. 19, 1944, she married her beloved husband of 69 years, Charles L. Jenkins. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2013. Gerry was a John Hay High School graduate, where she excelled at school. She worked as an executive secretary for Mr. Max Roseblum, at Rosenblum Dept. Store, as well as a secretary for Pesco Products. She moved from Cleveland to the New Castle area in 1958. Her most important job was being a homemaker and caring for her six beloved children. She faithfully served in the PTG at St. Mary's School and helped start the Ladies Guild at St. Camillus Parish. She was also a founding member of St. Camillus Parish. Gerry is survived by her children, Robert Jenkins of Bemus Point, NY, Thomas (Patty) Jenkins of New Castle, PA, Daniel (Leslie) Jenkins of Meadville, PA Louann (Thomas) Weingartner and Dianne (Angelo) Papa, both of New Castle, PA and Sharon Jenkins of New Wilmington, PA; two sisters, Corinne Barnes of Willoughby, OH, SR. Susan Kurth of Chardon, OH; one brother, Billy (Lynn) Kurth of Cleveland OH; 8 grandchildren, Jaime (James) Roberts, Peter (Angelica) Jenkins, Jackie Jenkins, Daniel (Diana) Jenkins, Austin Jenkins, Jessica (David) Haeberle, Jason Griffith, Annie Papa; and five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Lyon, Juleana Lyon, Nolan Jenkins, Aubryn Jenkins, and Kaelynn Jones. In addition to her parents and husband, Gerry is preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Selig and stepmother, Marie Kurth. Visitation will be held on Fri. Aug. 27th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Mass will be celebrated on Sat. Aug. 28th at 9:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish, 314 W. Englewood Ave, New Castle PA 16105, with Father Brendan Dawson officiating. Burial will be at Castle View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to Holy Spirit Parish, 915 S.
