Geraldine V. Unangst, 88, of Edinburg, Pa, went home to be with her Lord the morning of December 7, 2013 at Jameson Care Center. Born April 11, 1925 in Hillsville, Pa, she was a daughter of Henry and Caroline Waldek List. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert "Bob" Unangst, whom she married February 7, 1945. A 1943 graduate of Union High School, Geraldine was employed at American Cyanamid Company and Eckerd Drug. She later was an assistant at Brewer Chiropractic Clinic. Geraldine enjoyed cooking, baking, and especially the times she spent with her family. She was a former member of Edinburg Methodist Church, where she attended the Women's Missionary group, until 1977 when she joined First Assembly of God. Geraldine loved the Lord and desired to serve him as evidenced by her service as Sunday school teacher and president of the Women's Missionary group at First Assembly. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Bronson of Warren, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Lynn Unangst of New Castle; 3 grandchildren, Gregory (Kathleen) Bronson of Warren, Ohio, Brett Unangst of Pittsburgh, and Todd Bronson of Denver, Co; and 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Bronson and Jane Bronson, both of Warren, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 sisters, Lillian Fraser, Matilda Leeper, Freda Loth, Edna Kildoo, Alma List and Ella Grace List; and 2 brothers, Walter List and Edward List. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 11:00 at the church. Rev. Chad Stoecker and Rev. Kenneth Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to either the Mission Board or the Youth Program of First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
