Gladys Jones Kirsch, 94, of Vosler Road, Volant, PA passed away on Saturday, February, 26th, 2011 in the Jameson Care Center.Gladys was born September 8th, 1916 in Homestead, PA to the late Walter and Martha Myerscough Jones. She married Harry L. Kirsch on April, 19th, 1938, He preceded her in death on December 5, 1988.Gladys graduated from Munhall High School and then attended Penn State for two years where she received her degree to be a librarian. She worked for the Carnegie Library of Homestead.Gladys was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and enjoyed playing bingo on Thursday mornings at Challenges. She was Episcopalian.She is survived by a daughter, Patricia G. and Donald Barnes of Volant; one son, Harry L. and Delores Kirsch of Canfield Ohio; along with six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Alfred Jones; and one sister, Peggy Dunn.Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with The Rev. Geoffrey T.
