Glenn F. Blews, Jr., 59, of New Castle, passed away the night of April 27, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.Born March 24, 1953 in New Castle, he was a son of Glenn F. Blews, Sr. and Betty Jean Grossman Blews.He was a graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech in 1971.Glenn was employed by Butler Trucking, McLean Trucking and Hall's Trucking as a truck driver over the past 25 years.He was a member of the Western PA Teamsters, Local 261 and he also enjoyed coin collecting.He is survived by a daughter, Christie Lee Blews of Struthers, OH; a son, Daniel Glenn Blews of Butler; a brother, David P. Blews of New Castle; five sisters, Patty Vitale, Hilda Smith and Billie Jo Williams of New Castle, Marilyn Tacconi of Scottdale, PA and Ruth Williams of Seven Springs, NC; and one grandson.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Phillip Harrison of First Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
