Glenn E. Park, age 73, of Fairview School Road, Ellwood City, passed away the morning of July 27, 2015 at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center in Harmony, PA.
Born October 7, 1941 in Beaver Falls, he was a son of Gabriel M. and Mary Ellen Caldwell Park.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley Enslen Park, whom he married July 9, 1966.
Following his graduation from Laurel High School, he enlisted in the U.S.Army, serving from 1962-1965 achieving the rank of Spec 4. During that time he was stationed in Germany.
After his employment in the shipping department at Rockwell International, Axle Division, he worked part time for the US Department of Agriculture.
Glenn served as president of the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association and was a member of the Future Farmers of America where he earned the title of State Sentinal in 1960.
In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by two sons, Gary Park of New Castle and David (Amy) Park of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Charlotte Henry of New Castle and Lois (Ken) Snyder of Ephrata, PA; and three grandchildren, Ethan Park, Sydney Park, and Taylor Park, all of Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Greg Rogan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jason Schepp officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
