Glorie A. Geisel, age 88 of New Wilmington, passed away peacefully the afternoon of July 12th, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born Feb. 10, 1937, In St. Peter, KS, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Sally (Rome) Rohr.
She was married to Raymond Fothergill for several years until his death. Subsequently, she married Gerald Geisel, who survives at Northview Estates.
Glorie was a graduate of Quinter High School, class of 1955. For several years she worked at Universal Rundle, as a clerk in the accounts receivable department, until her retirement. Glorie loved the outdoors, gardening, traveling, spending time with her family and reading. Glorie was a member of the Ladies of the Eintracht Singing Society and St. Mary's – Holy Spirit Parish.
Survivors include one daughter, Beth (Ken) Behr of New Castle, PA; one step-daughter Cheryl (Brent) Morocco of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two step-sons, Robert (Erin) Geisel of Linesville, PA, and Michael Geisel of Hermitage, PA; one brother, Thomas (Kathy) Rohr of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Jolene (Chad) Stinemetz of Sacramento, CA, and Darlene Wynn of Stillwater, OK; sister-in-law, Nancy Rohr of Sister, OR; four grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Callahan of Wayne, PA, Brandon Ryan of Charleston, SC, Michelle Morocco of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Joshua Morocco of Highland Ranch, CO; and two great grandchildren, Parker and Raya Callahan.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Glorie is preceded in death by one son, Rodney Fothergill, three sisters, Neyla Kippes, Dora Haugh, Mary Lou Carothers, and brother, Don Rohr.
Private services were held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery.
