Goldie L. Becker, 70, of 3326 Frew Mill Road, passed away the afternoon of August 13, 2011 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.Born October 12, 1940 in Latrobe, PA, she was a daughter of Samuel A. and Lillian A. Repine Pratt.She married Richard J. Becker, Sr. in 1958. He survives at home.She was a graduate of Saltsburg High School. Goldie was the manager of Lawson's and Isaly's, both located in Ellwood City.She enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her family.In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Nita Crawford of Youngstown, OH, Cheryl Savage of Ashtabula, OH, and Kimberly Hall of Chippewa; four sons, Richard J. Becker, Jr. and Joseph Becker both of New Castle, Thomas Crawford of Ellwood City, and Michael Crawford of Portersville; three brothers, Samuel Pratt, Jr. and Jack Pratt both of Saltsburg, PA, and Frank Pratt of Natrona Heights, PA; two sisters, Sylvia Menchio of Ligonier, PA and Pam Shermenti of Saltsburg, PA; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty two great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lanora Kelp and Patricia Ault.There are no calling hours.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Gary Waguespack will officiate.Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
