Grace M. Baldwin Bovard, 96, of New Castle passed away the morning of March 21, 2017 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born in New Castle on January 7, 1921, she was a daughter of Ambrose U. and Myrtle Smith Adams. She was married to Roy L. Baldwin, Sr. who passed away in 1961. Then on October 23, 1993 she married John J. Bovard, who preceded her in death on November 27, 2008. She attended New Castle High School and New Castle School of Beauty Culture. She was employed at JC Penney's and then became the owner of Dolly's Beauty Salon. Besides cooking, her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a charter member of First Alliance Church. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra M. (Robert) Bupp of Beaver Falls; a son, Roy L. (Bonnie) Baldwin, Jr. of New Castle; five grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; eight sisters; and four brothers. Visitation will be from 3-7 on Thursday at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Roy Baldwin, III and Rev.
