Gregory L. Huling, age 73, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Jan. 28, 2024, at his residence.

Born March 27, 1950, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Layton R. and Lois E. (Wilson) Huling.

On March 30, 1978, he married his beloved wife of 45 years, Beverly (Sweet) Huling. She survives.

Greg was a graduate of Shenango High School. He worked as a welder and in car and paving sales. Among some of his many interests Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and golfing. Greg was a gifted woodworker, creating beautiful images of wildlife, carved out of wood. Most of all, he treasured the times he was able to spend with is family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by three daughters, Amanda (Michael) Reader of New Wilmington, PA, Katey (Chad) Rendos of Volant, PA, and Kiley Huling of New Castle, PA; one son, Aaron (Tammy) Fry, of Grampian, PA; and nine grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Huling.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. Feb. 1, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A memorial service will take place, at the funeral home immediately after visitation, at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Matthew Bupp officiating.
