Harriett M. Bunney, 78, formerly of Honea Path, S.C. went to be with the Lord the morning of October 21, 2013 at Sunnyview Home in Butler, PA. Born November 3, 1934 in New Castle, she was a daughter of John and Dorothy Marie Carr Caldwell. She was preceded in death on March 9, 2008 by her husband of over 50 years, Rev. Hubert G. Bunney, whom she married September 19, 1953. Harriett was an active part of her husband's evangelical ministry as they together spread the Word of God to five Assembly of God churches in Pennsylvania and New York. She was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and their four children. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (Randy) Bidwell of Simpsonville, SC; three sons, Mark Bunney of Pendleton, SC, Timothy (Darla) Bunney of North Huntingdon, PA, and Daniel (Wendy) Bunney of Renfrew, PA; one sister, Dorothy Bookamer of Lancaster, PA; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Shelly Bunney. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will take place on Friday, October 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Kenneth Meyer. Burial will be in Slippery Rock Presbyterian Cemetery.
