Harry A. Carder, Jr., 89, of Pulaski, passed away April 25, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born July 1, 1927 in Romney, West Virginia, he was the son of Harry A. Carder, Sr. and Helen McMullen Carder. He married Marilyn Smith Carder who preceded him in death in 2000.
Harry served in the United States Navy with the Seabees during World War II.
In his earlier years, he worked with U.S. Steel, Ohio Works, in Youngstown as a stationary engineer for 35 years. He was then employed with St. Joseph Hospital and Trumbull Memorial Hospital until his retirement.
He is survived by three sons, Bruce Carder of Pulaski, Brian (Linda) Carder of Stow, OH, and Fred Carder of Struthers, OH; one brother, Dane (Edna) Carder of Ft. Myers, FL; and one sister, Margaret McBride of Austintown, OH; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Carder.
In keeping with Mr. Carder's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
