Harry Richard Earl, 69, of Shenango Township, went to be with his Lord on October 21, 2019. He was born on April 1, 1950 in New Castle to the late John C. Earl and Dorothy (Emery) Earl.
Harry worked at the steel mills and at K-Mart. He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Shenango High School in 1968.
He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of New Castle.
He had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed writing novels, plays and children's stories. He loved holidays, especially Christmas and building Christmas Village every year for his family to enjoy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Hall) Earl of 43 years, whom he married on August 28, 1976, his daughters Heather (Derek) Wilkinson of Seven Hills, Ohio, Hannah (Edward) Jurina of Union Township and his son, David Earl of Pittsburgh, 3 granddaughters, Katherine and Aria Wilkinson and Sophie Jurina, and nephews Brian and Shaun Earl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Samuel and Ralph Earl and a sister, Karen Earl.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Lorrie Ghering- Burick of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
