Harry P. Lutton, 79, of Ellwood City, passed away the morning of March 17, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home.
Born on June 7, 1936 in Taylor Township, Lawrence County, he was a son of Ralph W. and Rose Z. Houk Lutton.
Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 49 years, Marjorie Cover Lutton. They were married January 24, 1967.
Harry was a 1954 graduate of New Castle High School. He was employed by Universal Rundle/Nortek for 42 years until his retirement in 1998.
Mr. Lutton enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He was passionate about growing garlic and was well known for this.
He was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Portersville, where he served as an elder and sang in the choir. He was also a member of the Gate Keepers Gospel Quartet and of the Lords of Castle Barbershop Chorus.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind four daughters: Laurie Gates of Idaho Falls, ID, Janice (Greg) Weaver and Diane (Gary) Palmer, both of New Castle, and Barbara (Bert) Rogers of Mercer; one son, Gregg (Kelly) Lutton, of New Castle; six grandchildren: Ryan (Leeanne) Lutton, Amanda Weaver, Justin Weaver, Luke Choco, Logan Lutton, and McKenna Lutton; and one great grandchild, Rylee Lutton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Lutton; and a brother, Louis Lutton.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM with the Rev. John Yergan officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
