Hazel Davis-Kulik, 92, formerly of East Garfield Avenue, passed away the morning of April 7, 2011 at Golden Hill Nursing Home.Born September 13, 1918, in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter to the late Robert A. and Rose Sara Marton Cullim. She was married to James R. Davis. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1970. She then married William Kulik on September 13, 1997. He also preceded her in death. Hazel attended New Castle High School. She was the former owner of Hazel's Looking Glass on North Street. Hazel was a member of the Seroptimist Club and Business and Professional Women's Club, serving as past president for both organizations. Hazel was a former board member for the Women's Shelter. She enjoyed dancing and belonged to the Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance Club in Boardman, OH. She was a member of King's Chapel Methodist Church.Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Charles Gibas, of New Castle; a daughter, Sharrene Potter, of Harper's Ferry, WV; four grandchildren, Tim Moore, Kimberly Rice, Jacquin Potter, and Joe Gibas; and seven great grandchildren, Hunter Moore, Amanda Rosendale, Erika Rosendale, Andrew Sankey, Maria Gibas, Veronica Rice, and Alyssa Rice.She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery
