Helen R. Henry, 97, formerly of Adams Street and Hunters Woods, passed away the morning of December 14, 2012 at Jameson Care Center, New Castle. Born August 1, 1915, in New Bethlehem, PA, she was a daughter of Dr. Jacob A. Robinson and Catherine Sarah Wareham Robinson. She was preceded in death on March 2, 2001 by her husband, Roland C. Henry, whom she married January 10, 1942. She was a graduate of Clarion High School and Seton Hall University in Philadelphia. During World War II she was with the Army Corp of Engineers. Helen was employed with several businesses during her lifetime including the Red Cross, First Seneca Bank of New Bethlehem, Jewel Tea and finally the Lawrence County School System. After retirement, she loved to travel with her husband Roland and enjoyed needlework. She will be missed by her family, whom Helen deeply loved. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Frank Guthrie of Hermitage, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill K. and Sherron Henry of New Castle,PA; three grandchildren, Meg Henry of Concord, NC, Kenneth and Tammy Guthrie of Sharon, PA, and Brian and Bekki Guthrie of Sharpsville, PA; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Robinson; one infant daughter; and two infant grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
