Helen Carol Hodge, 87, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of December 23, 2021, at UPMC Mercy Hospital with her family by her side. Born December 7, 1934, in New Castle, she was the daughter of James E. and Lois E. (Sizer) Henle. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Ellsworth M. Hodge, whom she married May 23, 1953. She is also survived by her three daughters, Tracy Juricich, Nadine (David) Dorr and Janet (William) Friday, all of Neshannock Township; three sisters, Ethel (David) Dean, Judith Caparoula and Nancy Wellman, all of New Castle; a sister-in-law, Marla Henle of May's Landing, NJ; one brother-in-law, Robert Hodge of Jackson Knoll, PA; five grandchildren, Courtney Juricich, Valerie (Marty) Ferrucci, Katie Dorr, Alison Friday (fiance' Corey Shoup) all of New Castle, and Kristen Friday of Waynesburg, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Raegan Beth Ferrucci and Banks and Mason Shoup all of New Castle. Helen was a graduate of New Castle High School and was employed many years with Bell Telephone, retiring from A.T.& T. as an international operator. Helen's greatest joy was spending time with her family. May's Donuts and coffee, spaghetti and white chocolate were some of her favorite delights. She also enjoyed making pies, the music of Elvis Presley and George Jones, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steeler's. She was a member of the Mother's Night Out Club and Wayside Emmanuel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Henle and son-in-law, Ronald Juricich. A one-hour visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, from 4:00-5:00 with a 5:00 funeral service at Wayside Emmanuel Church, 4437 Mitchell Road, New Castle, with Pastor Bryan Warner officiating.
