Helen G. (Saad) Joseph, age 101, of New Castle, passed away the evening of Aug. 9, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital, surrounded by all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Homestead, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Morina (Phillips) Saad.

On Oct. 20, 1940, she married her beloved husband of 63 years, George P. Joseph. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2003.

Mrs. Joseph was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured the times she was able to spend with them. Helen will always be remembered as the family prayer warrior. She was a devoted member of St. John's Maronite Church.

She will be deeply missed by her children; two daughters, Janet Palimino, Linda (Ralph) Blundo, two sons, George (Fran) Joseph, and Dennis Joseph; one son-in-law, Anthony Staph; one sister, Dorothy Fiacco all of whom reside in New Castle; 42 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Staph, one son-in-law, Fred Palimino, one grandson, Jeffrey Staph, and one great-grandson, Karo Christopher Dinardo-Joseph.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Aug. 12th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Sat. Aug. 12th at 2:00 pm, St. John Maronite's Church, 2 W. Reynolds Street, New Castle, PA 16101, with Father Hanna Karam, officiating. Procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 pm.

Entombment will be at Castleview Mausoleum.
