Helen M. Lombardo, 92, formerly of Scotland Lane, passed away the morning of November 28, 2015 at Lawrence County Geri Care. Born January 6, 1923 in Ebensburg, Pa., she was a daughter of William and Tallie Helen Passmore Johnson. She was preceded in death on August 24, 2015 by her husband of 69 years, Peter A. Lombardo, whom she married July 6, 1946. Helen was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Assembly of God. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ronald and Lora Lombardo of New Castle; two sisters, Lorraine (James) Lombardo and Gaynelle Lombardo all of New Castle; two grandsons, Ryan Lombardo and Ronald (Rebecca) Lombardo; and one great-grandson, Roman Lombardo. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, LaRue Tucker and Freida McQuiallan; and two brothers, Dayton and Robert Johnson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Chad Stoecker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
