Helene Elizabeth Nealy, age 61 of New Castle, went to be with Jesus the early morning of June 24, 2021. Born Sept. 24, 1959, in Derby, CT, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Madeline (Devine) Hyman. On May 6, 1978, she married her beloved husband of 29 years, Jessie Arthur Nealy. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2007. Helene was a graduate of Seymour High School in Seymour, CT. For several years she was employed by First Student, as a school bus monitor. She was also an active member of City Life Church's online campus. She enjoyed playing bingo, solving crossword puzzles and was an avid fan of the Food Network. What gave Helene the most joy in life was spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren, of whom she loved deeply. In addition to her parents and husband, Helene was preceded in death by her brothers Daniel Hyman, Ricky Hyman and her youngest sister, Catherine Simon. Helene is survived by her children, Vincent Nealy (fiancé Faith Bartle), Thomas Nealy, both of New Castle, PA, Shannen (Mark) Santistevan of Philadelphia, PA and Brandon (LeeAnn) Nealy of New Castle, PA; one brother, John Hyman; one sister, Jeanette Oliver; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wed. June 30th at 1:00 PM, at the R.
