Obituary

Herbert Fred Neff, Jr., age 82, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of July 21, 2024, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Hermitage, PA.

Born March 1, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Evelyn A. (Dyson) Neff, Sr.

He married his wife of 63 years, Theodora 'Terri' (DiLullo) Neff. She survives at home.

Fred was a graduate of New Castle High School. He was a member of the electrical union, #712, where he did his apprenticeship and shortly thereafter became the owner and founder of Blackhawk Neff, which he founded in 1970. Fred went on to become the owner of Golf Cart Supply. He proceeded to become an established developer during his career.

Mr. Neff was active in raising money for the City Rescue Mission and the New Castle YMCA. He loved to golf and raise champion sheep and llamas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Fred attended Highland UP Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter, Patricia (Spiro) Kardambikis of New Castle; his son, Robert (Chrissy) Neff of New Castle; one brother, Kirt (Lou Ann) Neff of New Castle; three sisters, Virginia (Dave) George of West Middlesex, PA, Kathy (Gary) Nicolos of New Castle, Audrey (George) Argeras of Poland, OH; six grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine Park Kardambikis of Washington, DC, Christina and Eric Karmecy of New Castle, PA, Anna and Spero Stefanis of New Castle, PA, Allyson and Luke Rust of Mercer, PA, Adam and Cammy Neff of New Castle, PA, Alex and Autumn Evanoksi of New Castle, PA, and fourteen great-grandchildren, Penelope Karmecy, Theodora Karmecy, Paul Karmecy, Stella Stefanis, George Stefanis, Kostas Stefanis, Ourania Stefanis, Patrikia Kardambikis, Nolan Rust, Landon Rust, Mason Rust, Henry Neff, Derek Neff and Lucy Neff.

Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his infant brother, Lawrence C. Neff.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
