Howard Samuel Bair, Jr., age 78, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 22, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born June 2, 1946, in Union City, PA, he was the son of the late Howard Samuel and Helen (McCurdy) Bair, Sr.

On April 3, 2004, he married his beloved wife of twenty-one years, Rita (Fusco) Bair. She survives at home.

Howard was a member of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam, from 1966-1967. For several years, he worked as a general manager, employed by Shaw Perkins. Howard loved playing Keno, but most of all he loved the times he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by his three children, Thomas (Johnnie) Marcus, Mark (Angie) Marcus, and Christine (Rob) Marcus; three sisters, Barb Weingartner of WV, Linda (Kenny) Kemp of Chippewa, PA, and Debbie Bair of NY; and eight grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Heard, and two sisters.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
