Howard Earl Herman, 93, of West Pittsburg, went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2021, with loved ones at his side. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on January 24, 1928. He was the son of the late Harry Sanders and Alice Herman Sanders.
Howard leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Anne (Dombeck) Herman, of 52 years; one daughter, Theresa Herman-Blakely and her husband Gary; one son, Edward Herman and his wife Jennifer; Six grandchildren, Arica Herman-Minns (Josh), Chelsea Blakely, Marissa Blakely, Elise Herman, Kayla Herman, Michael Herman; 2 great grandchildren, Roman Minns and Mason Blakely, as well as many other loving family, friends and beloved pets.
Howard lived his life to the fullest. He was a Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War as a member of the Seabees. Howard was a member of the painter's union Local 409 for 69 years. He was most proud of his family and never missed a chance to brag about their accomplishments.
Services will be held privately for the family at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. Rev. John Kuert will officiate.
CDC guidelines will be in place in regard to wearing masks and social distancing. Due to CDC Pennsylvania guidelines, there may be limited access due to room capacity.
Interment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
