Ida M. Conner, 95, passed away on May 25, 2021 in Medina, Ohio.
She was born October 13, 1925 to Harold and Florence (McArthur) Ashton in New Castle, PA.
Ida was a 1943 graduate of New Castle High School.
She married Clarence "Ed" Conner on March 28, 1945. She worked for the Pennsylvania Bell Telephone Company until her retirement.
She was a member of Second United Presbyterian Church until its closure. She then attended Northminster Presbyterian Church. She had been a member of the Retired Bell Luncheon Ladies, NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees), Eastern Star and Wimodausis. She bowled as a member of a Colonial Lanes bowling league until she was 90.
Ida is survived by her son, Bruce (Sharon) Conner; daughter-in-law Susan Conner; two granddaughters, Suzanne (David) Dillon, Laura Conner-Steele (Brad); two great grandsons, Marshall and Leo Dillon; two nephews and two nieces.
Along with her parents and husband, Ida was preceded in death by her son, James Conner; two brothers, Howard and James Ashton; sister, Jean Dzemyan; and brother-in-law Michael Dzemyan.
No visitation will be held. A private burial service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery in New Castle.
