Ida May Lamm, age 97, of New Castle, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.

Born Jan. 11, 1927, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (White) Rhodes.

She was married to her husband of 28 years, Lloyd H. Lamm, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 22, 1979.

Ida worked as a seamstress at Robert Halls and Haney's for many years. She then ran her own custom drapery business called "Creative Drapery Designs" until her retirement in 2001. Some of her hobbies include sewing, traveling on bus trips, crocheting, and knitting. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She was a lifelong member of Hoover Heights Alliance Church.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law Donna Lamm; grandchildren, Mark (Jenny) Bolinger, Fred (Susan) Lamm, Lisa Lamm; great-grandchildren, Cameron Bolinger, Jordan, Ian, and Kennedy Lamm, Paige (Will) Stewart, Carissa Fumarola, Liane Thomas and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ida was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd H. Lamm, III, who died April 9, 2022, infant brother Walter, brother Charles Rhodes, sisters, W. June Anderson and Dolores Ward.

In keeping with her wishes a private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Hoover Heights Alliance Church, 1947 Morris Street, New Castle, PA 16102.
