Ida Mae Williams, 96, of 1146 Brookshire Drive, passed away the morning of April 27, 2011 in Jameson Hospital.Born May 5, 1914 in New Castle, she was a daughter of George and Sarah Wilcox Cowmeadow.She married Neal E. Williams in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1960. Ida Mae was a 1932 graduate of Shenango High School.She was a cashier for various companies in the New Castle area, including Loblaws, Century Grocery Store and White's Market.Ida Mae was a member of the Shenango Garden Club, First Presbyterian Senior Citizen's Center and Challenges. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and needlepoint.She was a member of Faith Country Chapel where she was a member of the Wilson Bible Class, the Women's Missionary Society and Elderberries.Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law; Sandra Bupp, Shirley Williams, and Verna and Larry Wilcox all of New Castle; one step-son, Neal and Margaret Williams, Jr., of Meadville; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Baker, Sarah Cowmeadow and Annie Cowmeadow; two brothers, Willis Cowmeadow and James Cowmeadow.Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Russ Van Nest and Ida's nephew, The Rev. Stephen Baker, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Country Chapel EMC, 3818 Old Butler Road, New Castle, PA 16101
