Ilona May Skuta, age 91, of New Castle, Pa., passed away February 24, 2017 in Wisconsin. Born May 16, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Paul and Esther Gyori Toth. She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband, John Skuta, whom she married in 1947. A homemaker, Ilona enjoyed bird watching, baking, crafts and growing African violets. She loved telling stories in Hungarian to her grandchildren. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three sons, John (Sammie) Skuta and Paul Skuta of New Castle, and Jerry (Dee) Skuta of Wisconsin; one brother, Oscar Toth of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, John Frank (Kelly S.) Skuta and Lorraine R. Skuta; two great-grandchildren, Dillon Skuta and Noah Skuta; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers. In keeping with Ilona's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
