Jack F. Foster, 75, of New Castle, passed away the morning of June 17, 2013 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born February 3, 1938, in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Guy and Peg Foster.He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth Bowers Foster, whom he married July 21, 1973. Jack was a graduate of New Castle High School and served in the National Guard. He was a machinist at General Electric, Diversified, and several other companies. Jack was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, the Barbershop Chorus, and enjoyed woodworking. He was a past deacon and choir member of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Carla and Jim McNicholas of Grove City, Vicki and Mickey Evans of New Castle, and Connie and Keith Horn of Milford, PA; three sisters, Sherry Weamer of North Jackson, OH, Mina Baringer of Berlin Center, OH, and Leila Kirkwood of Salem, OH; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 10:30-1:30 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Chris Curtis. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
