Jacquelyn P. "Jackie" Taylor, 48, of Shenango Township passed away the morning of October 19, 2014 at her residence.Born July 29, 1966 in Rochester, PA, she was the daughter of George R. and Bonnie L. Booher Pilner.Jackie married Harold R. Taylor, Jr. on July 27, 1991.She graduated from Laurel High School in 1984, then received an associate degree from Southeastern Academy in Orlando, FL, and later attended Penn State University.Jackie worked in the cafeteria at New Castle High School. She had previously worked at the Gap Outlet in Grove City as a stock room supervisor and at First Federal and First Merit as a loan officer.She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school, was a Penn State Master Gardner, and belonged to the Shenango Band Boosters.Jackie also graduated from Manna from Heaven School of Ministry.A member of Prevailing Word Church, she belonged to the Praise Team. She also attended New Hope Family Worship Center where she was a worship leader.In addition to her father, George of Princeton, and her husband, Harold, Jackie is survived by two sons, Ethan C. Taylor and Isaiah R. Taylor, both of New Castle; a brother, George W. and Elizabeth Pilner of New Castle; and a sister, Carrie Ann and Brian Solomon of Pittsburgh; and her mother-in-law, Kathy Taylor.She was preceded in death by her mother, and her father-in-law, Harold R. Taylor, Sr.Visitation will be Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 24, 2014, at 11 a.m at Prevailing Word Church, 114 Oakland Ave., New Castle. The Rev. David Young will officiate.Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shenango High School Marching Band, 2550 Ellwood Road, New Castle, PA 16101.
