James F. Bray, 78, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 14, 2013 at Butler VA Hospital in Butler, PA. Born June 27, 1934, in New Castle, he was a son of Francis J. and Virginia Livingston Bray.Jim was a PFC in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a foreman for the New Castle Refractory Company and attended St. Mary's Church.Jim's greatest enjoyment was being an active part of his grandchildren's lives, in their sport's activities as well as their personal endeavors. He loved the companionship of all his "grand-dogs", as he called them; Coby, Daisy, Nala and Jovey Belle. He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Bray; a daughter, Kathleen Oprean of New Castle; and four grandchildren, Eric, Amber, Alaina and Ean Oprean. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, for St. Camillus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The Rev.
