James Lewis Emery, Sr., 63, passed away the evening of May 31, 2014 in Jameson Hospital.He was born on March 13, 1951, in New Castle, to the late Oliver Wendel and Mary Florence Carr Emery. He married Barbara Stillwagon on November 9, 1976. She survives. James was employed by Young Galvanizing for 35 years. Mr. Emery was very mechanical and enjoyed working around his farm. He enjoyed attending his children's many ball games and spending time with family. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his 4 sons and daughters-in-law, James and Tiffany Emery, Jr., Paul and Theresa Emery, Gary and Stacy Emery , Robert and Kasarah Emery; two daughters, Laurie and Jenn Emery, all of New Castle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Arlene and Alvin and Lula Emery; one sister, Mary Drew; 5 sisters-in-law, Charlotte, Mildred, Diane and Arlene Emery and Beverly Stillwagon; one brother-in-law, Phil Spott; 7 grandchildren, Austin, Courtney, Ava, Laney, Nicholas and Gabrielle and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Emery was preceded in passing by his parents; 5 brothers, William, Charles, Buck, David and Clifford Emery; 4 sisters, Rebecca Spott, Charlotte Wallace, Violet Donner, Patricia Emery; 4 brothers-in-law, John Drew, Robert Stillwagon, Jr., Donald Stillwagon, Lewis Donner and sister-in-law, Goldie Emery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 4-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., New Castle. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June, 4, 2014, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Parkside Cemetery.
