James Byers Foster III, age 77, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 6, 2022, after a short illness. Born November 28, 1944, in Roswell, New Mexico, he was the son of James B. Foster Jr. and Yvette M. (Mitchell) Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Russell Foster and one sister, Sherry Anne Foster. He is survived by two sisters, Suzanne L. (Vincent) Maltese of Tinton Falls, NJ and Barbara F. (James) Huff of Hollidaysburg, PA; one brother, David R. (Nancy Smith) Foster of New Castle; several cousins, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A graduate of New Castle High School, Jimmy attended Youngstown State University, as well. He worked in various positions across Pennsylvania, including mechanic and warehouseman. He also worked with his father, as a real estate agent, for J. B. Foster & Son Real Estate. Among his many interests, he was an extremely knowledgeable and passionate fisherman, year round, an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and was a great lover of the many dogs in his life. Mr. Foster served with the Army in South Korea, in the mid 1960s. He was a member of the Army Security Agency. There will be a gathering of family and friends, to celebrate Jimmy's life, on Tuesday, January 11, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R.
