James I. "Jim" McKay, 67, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 9, 2015 at Jameson Hospital. Born April 13, 1948, in New Castle, he was the son of Raymond and Olive Wigton McKay. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Keely McKay, whom he married May 19, 1979. Jim graduated from Union High School in 1966, and went on to further his education at Youngstown State University. Mr. McKay was employed as a Distribution Manager at New Castle News, and retired in 2010. Among his many interests, he enjoyed golf, smooth jazz, and music from the sixty's era. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by one daughter, Laura R. McKay of New Castle; one brother, Raymond A. McKay of New Castle; one sister, Carole McKay of Edinburg; and his best friend, Kashmir. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Kinney officiating.
