James T. Murphey, Jr., 60, of 225 E. Edgewood Avenue, passed away June 25, 2013, at his residence. Born November 6, 1952, in New Castle, he was a son of James Murphey, Sr. and Beverley Milliron Murphey. Jim attended the University of Arizona and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.He enjoyed watching TV Land and ME TV, cooking & working around the house. In addition to his father of New Castle, and mother of Jackson, Tenn, he is survived by one son, Jordan James Murphey-Crisci, of Pittsburgh; one sister, Debby Harper of Jackson, Tenn.; three nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Murphey Colich who had resided in New Castle; and two brothers, Gary Murphey who resided in Orlando, FL. and Kenneth Murphey of Jackson, Tenn. Funeral arrangements were private and burial was in Savannah Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory.
